Meet Nick

Nicholas J. "Nick" Allen was born into a family that embodies public service. His father, Chris, is a 1986 United States Naval Academy graduate and served in the Navy. His mother, Janice, is a longtime Baltimore County Public Schools Teacher.

Delegate Nick Allen was raised in Maryland, the son of a Baltimore County Public Schools teacher and a Naval Academy graduate. He graduated from Mount Saint Joseph High School in 2007 and went on to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he graduated in 2011 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army. He deployed to Afghanistan and Qatar between 2012–2013 and 2014–2015.

After leaving active duty with the rank of Captain in 2016, Nick took a position with General Motors in Detroit. He and his wife, Nicole—also a 2011 West Point graduate and Army veteran—married in 2019 and moved to Maryland the same year. In 2022, he successfully ran for a seat in the House of Delegates representing District 8 and was sworn in January 2023. He currently serves on the Environment & Transportation Committee and was appointed by the Speaker in 2025 to the Chesapeake Bay Commission.

Nick and Nicole live in Parkville with their two rescue dogs.
